Shaw Industries Group, Inc. (Shaw) is proud to announce that its Shaw Sports Turf® brand will return as The Official Synthetic Turf Provider of the College Football Playoff (CFP) for a third consecutive year.
This season, the CFP National Championship heads to Miami and Hard Rock Stadium, where Shaw Sports Turf will once again bring innovative, high-performance surfaces to some of the weekend’s most exciting fan experiences.
New in 2026, fans will play a direct role in shaping the experience of Playoff Fan Central, a three-day, family-friendly fan festival featuring interactive games, special guest appearances and the chance to celebrate college football leading up to the national championship game on Monday, Jan. 19. The CFP and Shaw Sports Turf are launching a nationwide social media vote starting today, allowing fans to select the design of the Playoff Fan Central field. Four unique turf concepts have been unveiled, and the winning design will be installed in Miami—making this the first CFP field chosen by the fans. Shaw Sports Turf will also provide a one-of-a-kind turf field at Allstate Championship Tailgate, giving fans another photo-worthy celebration space.
Both installations will feature Shaw's Game ON® synthetic turf, manufactured in Calhoun, Ga. Unlike traditional manufacturing methods, Game ON uses a patented process where logos, lines and numbers are tufted directly into the turf during production—eliminating seams and unlocking custom design possibilities.
“We’re honored to extend our sponsorship into a third year and to bring fans into the experience even earlier with a first-ever field design vote,” said Chuck McClurg, president of Shaw’s turf division. “It’s all about raising the energy—from the fans in the stands to the athletes on the field—and Game ON makes that possible with customizable designs that showcase team pride while delivering the durability and playability athletes demand.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Shaw Sports Turf back and to give fans a unique opportunity to shape the look of the Playoff Fan Central field,” said Ryan Allen Hall, senior director of public events and sponsorship at the CFP. “This year’s activations will elevate the experience for both fans and athletes alike.”
Shaw’s role as the Official Synthetic Turf Provider of the College Football Playoff reflects its broader commitment to athlete-centered design and innovation. That commitment comes to life in its PEAK Performance Lab, where biomechanics experts study how athletes move on turf to drive safer, higher-performing surface design.
Shaw Sports Turf continues to innovate with sustainable, high-performance products such as NXTPlay® shock pads, which are made with up to 60 percent recycled content from synthetic turf fields at the end of their useful life, and multiple Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze products that meet rigorous material health and sustainability standards.
Shaw Sports Turf remains a leader in synthetic turf innovation, with installations at major universities and professional teams. To learn more about Shaw Sports Turf, visit shawsportsturf.com.
