Shaw is proud to announce the National Private Truck Council (NPTC) has inducted Shaw associate Eddie McAllister into the National Private Truck Council Driver Hall of Fame.
The NPTC Driver Hall of Fame is a prestigious recognition for professional drivers who have demonstrated a lifetime of safety and professionalism.
McAllister was named to the 2026 class of inductees for logging an incredible 4.2 million miles without a preventable accident.
Beginning his career on the plant floor, McAllister earned his CDL at Shaw through a driver training program nearly 40 years ago. As a professional truck driver, he has driven day cabs and sleeper trucks, bulk and liquid tankers, regional distribution, over the road, and last-mile customer deliveries.
For the past 20 years, Eddie has been the face of Shaw for customers on his route where he’s made lifelong friends and embodied the Shaw Way with a customer-centric mindset.
The hall of fame induction is a rare honor reserved for NPTC member drivers who qualify by meeting and exceeding rigorous safety standards. Eddie attributes his safety record to Shaw’s driver training. His advice to remain safe is patience: “Take your time and make no quick moves."
“Being named to the Hall of Fame means so much to me. It’s like the cherry on top of your career. To finish with an honor like this is a real blessing,” said McAllister.
Eddie is the eighth Shaw associate to be inducted into the NPTC Driver Hall of Fame.
