These grants help Shaw and our community partners create a better future in the communities in which we live and work.

Overview & Criteria

Grant Details:

  • Non-profit, community organizations and youth extracurriculars are eligible to apply for financial and product grants.
  • Criteria will include community outreach focus areas of local education (STEM - specifically engineering or manufacturing-focused), workforce development and United Way affiliated agencies in the communities where our associates live and work.

Organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • An organization holding a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) or (19) of the Internal Revenue Code, listed in the IRS Master File that conduct activities in the United States.
  • A recognized government entity: state, county, or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments.
  • A K-12 public or private school, charter school, community/junior college, state/private college or university.
  • We reserve the right to determine whether any organization is ineligible.

Application Process & Guidelines

Application Process:

  • Complete the grant application. Application may be completed by non-profit or Shaw associate.
  • The 2023 grant cycle has rolling application deadlines of 2/1/23, 4/1/23, 7/1/23, 9/1/23 and 11/1/23.  Applications may be submitted at any time during this funding cycle.
  • The grant committee will review at the end of each granting period and recommend grant recipients based on set grading criteria.

Guidelines:

  • Applications must be completed in full and submitted online to be considered. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.
  • Organizations will be notified of any decision via e-mail. All funding decisions are final.
  • If an organization is approved for a financial grant, grant checks will be mailed directly to the recipient organization’s address listed in the grant application. Please allow four weeks for delivery.
  • If an organization is approved for a product grant, the team will reach out to coordinate the order and delivery.
  • Organizations should consolidate their requests and make one submission per calendar year.  Exceptions may be considered for unforeseen circumstances such as major storm damage.
  • These grants may be discontinued at any time without notice.
