    I lead the marketing teams responsible for our go-to-market channels of Builder/Multifamily, Mainstreet Commercial, Home Centers, Buying Groups, and Specialty Markets.     Why Shaw:

    It’s simple: the people. Shaw employs amazing people who are passionate about their work and care about those they work with each day. In my first year with Shaw, I became extremely ill and was hospitalized at a nearby hospital away from my family. I was utterly blown away by all of the visits, calls and cards from my Shaw family.

    I work within the Production Planning Department as a leader of a team of talented people who work to develop strategies to ensure that Shaw’s inventory levels meet or exceed our customers' needs.

    I create a better future by emphasizing one of our most important assets at Shaw - inventory. By keeping a curious nature and questioning our internal and external processes, I can challenge the status quo by introducing new ideas and best practices to the way we manage inventory.

    Why Shaw:

    Shaw has been a great place to start and grow my career. I have received ample professional growth and development opportunities through both Shaw’s internal training academy and the Dalton community. Shaw allows associates to take abbreviated assignments with other departments, which has allowed me to identify my strengths and find a position where I can thrive. 

    What I Do:

    I work on a team that develops and supports software for Shaw’s manufacturing facilities. I write code, wrangle data, and most importantly, provide our users with tools to help solve all sorts of problems. As a business analyst, I ensure that users’ voices are represented in design and development discussions.

    I thrive in an environment that allows me to develop strong connections with others. I am especially passionate about demonstrating the power of data and how technology can make a difference in my colleagues' jobs.     What I Do:

    I’m a graphic designer with corporate marketing and communications. I support the Shaw Flooring Network by supplying any graphic design needs for that team along with Shaw’s top retail partners.

    I strive to make our customers happy, successful and better equipped to sell more products. From designing store signage, advertisements, outdoor boards and vehicle graphics, it’s always rewarding to provide retailers a creative boost that helps their businesses grow.

In my role, I heavily focus on designing program curriculum for our commercial sales new hires as well as managing the sales trainee program.

    I lead the Shaw Floors Retail Channel team for soft and hard surfaces. With our strong and passionate team members, anything is possible. We strategically manage our Retail Go To Market Process with the right product mix, sample merchandising and promotional plan to support the business plan. We provide our sales team with the right product mix and training tools necessary to win. We are successful when we lean in on each other through collaboration and hard work.

    Why Shaw:

    I’ve had the opportunity to work as a project engineer, plant engineer and I now manage the START maintenance training program. Each role was completely different, but I was still able collaborate with colleagues to solve problems, improve processes and implement solutions to make our work environments more effective and efficient.

    What I Do:

    I manage the industrial maintenance training program for Shaw Industries. We offer instructor led and online training classes for mechanics and electricians, as well as engineers interested in strengthening their maintenance skills.

    How I Create a Better Future:

    I’m creating a better future by supporting a culture of innovation and strategic risk taking. My involvement with developing the Shaw MakerSpace will empower associates to experiment and pursue new ways of doing things. I also serve as the Spectrum ARG co-chair, working to create a more diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace.

    What I Do:

    I lead our internal video production studio. Through video, we tell stories that showcase our products to consumers, promote our company in the community and to prospective employees, and to inform our associates. We've become specialists in live video production as a means to bring our associates closer together in uncertain times.

    For several years now, I’ve organized a Shaw running team that participated in the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend in Memphis. Not only does the team get to compete and do the thing we love, but we also get to share about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with our family and friends. Shaw is consistently the top corporate fundraising team for this event!

    Why Shaw:

    Shaw has given me a place to grow and develop as an engineer and beyond. I have been included on the team for key projects including the development of EcoWorx and Plant CN in China which allowed me to use my technical knowledge while innovating something new and impactful. Shaw has provided me with a perfect environment to grow both professionally and personally by giving me the freedom to work directly with the people, process and experimenting with pretty much everything.

    What I Do:

    I lead our Commercial and Specialty Technical Development Team where we are always looking for how we can improve our products and processes. Whether that is looking at new technology, new materials,  incremental improvements or reliability of our manufacturing, I am in charge of staying ahead of not only our local competition but also the global marketplace.

    I create a better future by leading my team and my colleagues to build strong inclusive networks with members of divisions or departments where they would normally not collaborate. I push the boundaries and conventional thinking that lead us to be a great carpet company our first 50 years into becoming the premier flooring solutions provider for the next 50.

    What I Do:

    I lead Shaw's Client Contact Center as well as our Residential Account Success and Consumer Concierge teams. These teams place all customer orders, track shipments, fulfill customer requests and improve the overall dealer and consumer experience by providing guidance on product selections, uncovering consumer insights, supporting continual account growth, and ensuring our retail partners are fully equipped and eager to sell Shaw product to their consumers.

    Why Shaw:

    During my senior year in college, a project for my Entrepreneurship class lead me to Dalton. I spent the entire semester conducting research in the area and this is how I learned about the company. I like that I have the opportunity to work for an industry leader and a company that is so connected with the community.

    What I Do:

    I am currently a  Contract Administrator - Government Sales  for Shaw Integrated Solutions and manage Shaw's federal GSA contract. It is rewarding to create/facilitate customer solutions and incorporate those solutions into legal documents; these contracts not only promote business growth, they also provide legal protection for our company.

    How I Create a Better Future:

    I ensure the integrity in every legal document/agreement that I am responsible for, I create a better future by sharing my successes and failures with my teammate so we can all grow together and lastly, I create a better future by giving back to our community through organizations including United Way and Junior Achievement.

    Why Shaw:

    I joined Shaw after graduating college.  Being from Dalton, Ga. area, I was familiar with Shaw and wanted to work for a company that I was confident I could have growth opportunities with. During my career, we have experienced booming and lean economic conditions, but through it all, there have always been opportunities.  Being with Shaw now for nearly 20 years, I know I made the right choice!
     

    What I Do:

    I oversee and collaborate with a team that handles claims for Shaw and US Floors residential resilient products. I am also a certified Master Coach, thanks to the Shaw Learning Academy. 

    How I Create a Better Future:

    I am creating a better future through my involvement with WiN (Women’s Innovation Network), which supports the development of women leaders at Shaw by providing access to resources and opportunities that help drive successful careers.  I also am involved with a middle school mentoring program in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I am passionate about the positive changes being made at Shaw to ensure we continue to grow and lead the industry.

    Shaw has made investments in me over time-  professionally, in the form of leadership training,  technical certifications,  stretch assignments, and personally, like graduate school tuition reimbursement and community outreach participation.     My focus is to help lead change! When dealing with a transition or transformation of our organization's goals, processes or technologies, I get to implement strategies for effecting change and helping people adapt. By focusing on the behaviors that drive change, I can guide the successful adoption to help achieve our desired business outcomes

    The future of work is change. However, organizations don't change until people do.     I continuously look for opportunities to improve the manufacturing process at one of Shaw's residential carpet facilities.  I also maintain and project the plant's financial performance and productivity levels.

    I help create a better future by aiding in the creation of sustainable products, manufactured in a safe work environment, that exceed our consumers’ expectations.  This fosters quality relationships and a better future for our associates, customers, and communities.

    Why Shaw:

    Since 1990, Shaw has provided me the opportunity to learn, grow and develop and I have benefited greatly in my journey. I believe Shaw values its people, their ideas and their futures. I feel empowered and challenged everyday to be the very best that I can possibly be. My question would be, Why not Shaw?

    What I Do:

    I manage and oversee product launch processes for hard surface products. This includes ensuring assignments are completed on time related to product trials, testing, and installation method evaluation. I also monitor production releases and time to market.

    How I Create a Better Future:

    In the words of Maya Angelou, I strive to be “a rainbow in the clouds” for others - to reach, teach, love, respect, encourage, inspire, motivate, and empower them regardless of race, educational level, economic status, political affiliations, obstacles or hurdles. When you dedicate yourself to becoming ALL you were meant to be, then and only then, can you achieve it.

    I am responsible for manufacturing operations in Scotland, China, and the U.S. that support our commercial carpet tile and broadloom markets as well as our specialty, nonwovens, pad, and turf markets.

    I create a better future by working everyday to make our business model sustainable. While this includes decisions around equipment and product offerings, it also means establishing the right culture for success. I make sure we are taking the long term view with all of our endeavors and strive to balance the needs of the individual, the customer and the business.

    Why Shaw:

    Shaw has given me many opportunities including a rewarding experience overseas as part of the technical start-up team for our carpet tile manufacturing facility in China. A world away and with limited access to traditional resources, we delivered a newly designed process that was fully operational and successfully delivered to the Chinese production team.

    What I Do:

    I support all company product certifications, eco-Labels, and product transparency claims for commercial carpet, resilient, fibers, and tile & stone along with their related sundries.

    I create a better future by doing the right things right. I believe in kindness, hard work and a shared responsibility to protect each other and our environment. My current role in sustainability allows me to influence how Shaw does the right things right for our associates, customers and the environment.

    Shaw provides its employees the springboard that allows us to make a difference.  In each of the positions I have held since joining the company in 2006, I have had the opportunity to solve problems and make the company better.  I enjoy coming to work each day knowing we have the opportunity to do that.  

    What I Do:

    I provide technical support for the development of and execution of capital projects and for the management of capital plan implementation in the Contract and Specialty Divisions.

    By developing and implementing engineering standards, durable technical specifications, and flexible templates in these areas, our team is redefining “the Shaw Way” for the development and execution of capital projects.  This toolset is a ready guide for engineers, saving time, saving money, and promoting consistency of outcomes.

    Why Shaw:

    I started with Shaw as a co-op student while attending Auburn University. I stayed because of the opportunity to be involved in driving environmental excellence at Shaw. I also valued the company’s willingness to give new associates the opportunity to advance based on merit.

    What I Do:

    My group oversees voluntary eco-label certifications and product environmental compliance and helps direct green chemistry, product transparency and disclosure initiatives. I also often have the opportunity to speak publicly about Shaw’s sustainability strategy. I recently presented to a large group of Shaw’s European customers and was able to raise their awareness of our sustainability programs and share the product specific sustainability initiatives we have that are directly relevant to the markets they are in. 

    How I Create a Better Future:

    I am creating a better future by challenging conventional wisdom about what is possible to provide to costumers. I do this by educating our sales and marketing groups on what we can and are doing, supporting customer service in giving assurances about the chemistry and safety of our products, and engaging our customers directly on the great successes Shaw is accomplishing regarding sustainability.

    I love working for Shaw because they are open to new ideas and offer a variety of experiences regardless of your position.  I work in design, but I also work alongside manufacturing, marketing, advertising and sales. This gives me a really well-rounded understanding of the company as a whole. Shaw is a company that cares about its people and works to help them grow in the areas that interest them. 

    What I Do:

    I lead the Workplace Studio team with Shaw Contract in conceptualizing and developing new and innovative products for the commercial market. We design both hard surface and soft surface flooring for a variety of workplace spaces and end use customers.

    What I Do:

    I collaborate with the marketing team to develop brand strategies, driving growth in all categories of our business. I create tools and training for both our internal and external customers. Working in alignment with many departments within Shaw, my role is to initiate and maintain these key partnerships in order to represent the priorities and vision of our commercial brand.

    I lead training around commercial technology systems including Salesforce.com, Google systems, and more. I am responsible for the technology training for new hires and our existing sales team both domestically and internationally.

    I am currently the QE Manager at Plant 4 in Dalton. My role is to interact with all levels of associates internally and externally to help insure we are all on the same page in terms of quality related to the products produced at Plant 4.

    Recently I spoke to a class at Dalton State and was able to share information about Shaw and flooring manufacturing, as well as the importance of quality and listening to the customer. Through this opportunity, I was able to introduce young people to Shaw so they can potentially become future leaders for our company.

    I recently took part in launching Floorté Wall Tile and Shaw Pure. Floorté Wall Tile is a vinyl tile suitable for shower walls. Shaw Pure is an innovative gas and liquid system for disinfection, deodorization and mold + mildew control. These products provide solutions for our customers and position Shaw as a total solutions provider.
